RAILWAY COAL STOCKS AT AUCKLAND
(New Zealand Press Association)
AUCKLAND, August 3. Coal stocks for the Auckland district railways have improved, but services are still being run on a “hand-to-mouth” supply. The Auckland railways depot now has two days’ supply, and a further shipment is expected early next week, a railways spokesman said to-day. Additional stocks sent to Frankton Junction to-day will boost reserves there to two days’ supply for the first time since last week.
