“LUCKY TRAM TICKETS”
PLAN TO ENCOURAGE PASSENGERS Bombay.—Bombay’s municipal transport system is planning to encourage tram and bus travel by introducing lucky tickets and awarding monthly cash prizes for them. The 8.E.5.T., Bombay’s electric supply and transport undertaking, will draw on the first day of each month, 50 numbers each from the tram and bus tickets to be sold during the month and keep them sealed until the end of the month, when the lucky numbers will be announced. The prize will be 50 rupees to the holder. Each bus and tramcar conductor selling the lucky tickets will also be rewarded.—Reuter. 1
