RETIREMENT OF MR W. GREENSLADE

Mr W. Greenslade has retired from the position of secretary of the Ridgely Lodge, 1.0.0. F., which he has held for 32 years. Mr Greenslade was elected to the position in 1919 and since then has seen the lodge grow from a very small membership. After 22 years of service as a Grand Lodge representative for North Canterbury, Mr Greenslade also attained the high office of Grand Master of New Zealand in 1947. Mr Greenslade has been associated with many improvements that have been introduced, and was largely responsible for maintaining the lodge’s membership after the introduction of social security benefits. After his resignation from the position of secretary he was immediately elected treasurer, and his services are retained as secretary of the North Canterbury Board of Control,
