APPRECIATION OF AMERICANS
Sir,—Appreciation of the fortitude of the American services and of the courage and leadership of General MacArthur in the days of the fall of Singapore and sinking of battleships and aircraft-carriers by the Japanese has inspired me to record my thanks to the Americans. I have read tributes by leading Australian statesmen, but have missed any tributes by New Zealand representatives or officials of the Returned Services’ Association. Could you please tell me in what papers they appeared?—Yours, etc8075. April 16, 1951.
