NAVAL CREWS FOR FREIGHTERS
23 MEN FLOWN FROM AUCKLAND (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 11 Transport aircraft of the noyal New Zealand Air Force to-day flew two parties of naval men from the Devonport Naval Base to take over vessels in the south. One party of 14 was flown to Dunedin to man the Union Steam Ship Company’s 942-ton steamer, Katui. Another draft of nine naval men was dispatched for crew duties in the Pukeko, which has been tied up at Gisborne.
