Mr A. St. C. Belcher has been appointed a member of the Workers’ Compensation Board in succession to Mr R. H. Newbold.—(P. A.) Mr T. P. Paikea, M.P., for Northern Maori, has been licensed as officiating minister under the Marriage Act, 1808, for the Ratane Established Church ol New Zealand, according to a Gazette notice.—(F.O.O.R.) Captain A. G. Russell, master of the Port St, John, which arrived at Auckland from New York yesterday, hai been appointed marine superintendent of the Port Line in Sydney. He will leave to-day to take up his appointment. Captain Russell, one of the line’s youngest masters, has been assistant marine superintendent al London for some time.—(P.A.)
