The All Blacks’Rugby Union team will open its tour of Australia on June 13 at • Wagga Instead of Canberra. This was <fe- ■ elded by the New South Wales Rugby , Union Council last night at the request , of the management committee, because Canberra would nbt accept the All Blacks ; on the usual conditions of "pay all. take All international Rugby Union teams since the war have played matches at , Canberra. Wagga is keen to have a match and It is confident it can make a financial success of it. The Canberra delegate said that Can- ; berra lost last year on the British Isles ’ match and might be placed in an embarrassing position if the All Blacks , played there in similar conditions.
