Ac a result of beating Wales by 8 points to 3 in the Rugby Union international game at the Colombes Stadium, Paris, France, for the first time since joining the international series more than 40 years ago, .finished second in the championship. Sporting writers give the Frenchmen great credit for steady improvement in their standard of play. It was the twenty-sixth meeting between the two national teams and France’s fifth victory in the series. The final positions this year are: Ireland, France, Wales, England, Scotland.
