SERVICES’ FIELD DAY ABANDONED
Because of tfee strike a combined services’ field day which was to have been held at the R.N.Z.A.F. station, Wigram, next week-end will not take place. The officer commanding Wigram, Group Captain A. B. Greenaway, explained last evening that the services were not able to devote the men to prepare the structures for field day. In addition aircraft from other would have been wanted, but there were not enough men to service them.'
