TALKS ON WOOL MARKETING
FOUR N.Z. DELEGATES NAMED (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON. November 8. New Zealand will be represented by four delegates at the discussions on the marketing of wool to be held in Melbourne next week. The Minister of Marketing (Mr K. Holyoake). who announced the names of th? delegates this evening, said that the leader wpuld be the chairman of the Wool Disposal Commission <Mr G. A. Duncan). The other delegates would be the Director-General of Agriculture (Mr E. J. Fawcett), the chairman of the New Zealand Wool Board (Mr N. R. Jameson), and the chief appraiser for the Wool Disposal Commission (Mr G. C. Anderson). The diicussions in Melbourne will be between Government and woolgrowers’ representatives from Australia. New Zealand, and South Africa They will investigate the practicability of a scheme for the pre-emptive buying of wool by the United States for defence purposes. Also present at the discussions will be representatives from Britain and the United States. The conference is expected to seek means of putting a scheme into effect which will be acceptable to all parties, including the growers.
