“Queen Elizabeth looked beautiful in a lavender pink lace gown,”. Mrs Oram said. Princess Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Princess Royal were also present. The King and Queen conversed with Mr and Mrs Oram for several minutes, Mrs Oram said. Princess Elizabeth specially had won her heart, said Mrs Oram. “One cannot help being impressed with her wonderful character. It shines in her face.”
