BAILEY BRIDGE OVER AVON AT KERR’S REACH.—This Bailey bridle over the Avon river at Kerr’s Reach was put up in quick time yesterday by men of the 5th Assault Squadron of the New Zealand Royal Field Engineers. It will provide access for a settler on the Merry estate when the river is diverted to form the Kerr’s Reach rowing course. The men were just completing the job when this photograph was taken.
