HOTEL LEASEHOLD SOLD

DUNEDIN TRANSACTION (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, September 18. The sale of the leasehold of the City Hotel, Dunedin, at a price understood to be about £40,000 to Mr G. S. Elms, of Timaru, has been announced. The lease, which has five and a half years to run, is held by Mr L. F. McCormack. It is one of the biggest hotel transactions completed in recent years. Mr Elms was, until recently, licensee of the Grosvenor Hotel in Timaru. Mr and Mrs McCormack have been at the City Hotel since 1923. The building is owned by a private company.
