ARTS AND CRAFTS EXHIBITION

Nearly every school in Canterbury has entered exhibits 'or the arts and crafts exhibition which will be opened in the Centennial Court to-day by the Director of Education (Dr. C. E Beeby). There are more than 600 exhibits, selected from about 1200 submitted from primary and secondary schools. State and private, throughout the province. For one month there will be performances of a marionette theatre, demonstrations of pottery making, sillscreen and block printing, weaving, book binding, or some r.ther handcraft every week day. Children will be ad mitted free. Adults will be charged Is. the proceeds to o to the centennial memorial fund.
