ARMED FORCES OF ITALY
(Rec. 8 p.m.) ROME, September 15. The Defence Minister (Mr Randolfo Pacciardi) said to-day that Italy would have 250 warplanes in a state of readiness within a few months, and was preparing to increase her army to 12 divisions.
Mr pacciardi was speaking at a ceremony at Brindisi at which the American Ambassador handed over the first 40 aircraft shipped to Italy under the Atlantic Pact.
