BOXING
SHEPHERD BEATS FITZWATER (New Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, September 17. Allen Shepherd, who arrived recentb from Australia, outpointed Noel Fitzwater (Patea) in a 10-rounds' professional wel-ter-weight boxing bout on Saturday evening. The bout, which was hard fought, was notable for two knock-downs in the eighth round.
