APPRECIATION
Sir, —May I take the opportunity of expressing to the Rugby League public of Christchurch the appreciation felt by directors, players, officials, and supporters of my club for the kindness and generous gifts bestowed upon Jim Ledgard following his injury and stay in the Christchurch Public Hospital. By your kind action in so well caring and looking after Jim, which was a great comfort for us to know at a time of deep concern, you have most certainly demonstrated the friendly feeling existing between our two countries through the medium of our great game, Rugby League football. Many thanks. —Yours, etc., G. E. SIMS, Secretary, The Leigh Football Club, Ltd. Leigh, Lancashire, Aug. 28, 1950.
