DOG TUCKER SHORTAGE
Sir, —In your issue of Saturday, under the heading of Farm and Station, I read a paragraph under the title of “Dog Tucker Shortage.” Such reading is enough to turn any humane person sick. This foul practice of trapping is a disgrace to a Christian country. The author of this article even tempts the unfortunate creatures with rotten apple—too mean to give them a good one. I wonder if this thrifty farmer goes to church and leaves his traps set on Sunday nights. If so, does he think the Almighty will listen to his prayer before the cries of his tortured victims?—Yours, etc.,
AWAY WITH TRAPS. September 4, 1950.
