The British infantrymen of the Middlesex Regiment and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders who left Hong Kong in the aircraft-carrier Unicorn and the cruiser Ceylon reached a port in South Korea this morning and disembarked to the skirl of pipes. Kong, the Britons—the first non-American ground troops to join the Lnited Nations forces in Korea—will eat American rations but use their own weapons and have their ownZ tary supplies. Officers of the Scottish battalion may wear kilts if they wish, but the men will wear battledress. The situation here is now confused. A staff officer said the South Koreans with American support yesterday attacked along the entire Kigye-Pohang front. One South Korean division advanced about a mile towards Kigye.
