LONDON, August 22. Lancashire, with two matches to play, head the county cricket championship table with 216 points, followed by Surrey with 192 points and three matches to play. Results:— Middlesex—First innings. 258 (Edrich 71); second innings 161. Surrey —First inhings 262 for eight declared (Fishlock 124); second innings 160 for four. Surrey won by six wickets.
Derbyshire—First innings 345 for six declared (Revill 96). Kent—First innings 96 (Gladwin four for 30); followed on. 151 (Gladwin six for 56). Derbyshire won by an innings and 98 runs.
Glamorganshire—First innlhgs 282 (E. Davies 110; Bailey five for 51). Essex—First innings 131 (Watkins four for 39, Muncer four for 44); second innings 126 (Shepherd four for 24). Glamorganshire won by an innings and 25 runs. Nottinghamshire—First innings 421 (Simpson 121); second innings 34 for three. Hampshire—First innings 243 (Walker 72); followed on. 253 (Blake 97). The match was drawn.
