LOCKE AND MANGRUM TIE (Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 8. The South African, “Bobby” Locke, and the American, Lloyd Mangrum, with a 72 holes aggregate of 282, tied for first place in the All American professional golf tournament at the Tam o Snanter Club, Chicago, to-day. Prize money for the tournament is 20,000 dollars, the winner’s share being 2500 dollars. Locke,and Mangrum will play off over 18 holes to-morrow. Their rounds were: Locke 72, 74, 69, 67, and Mangrum 72, 75, 68, 67. Other leading scores were:— Dave Douglas, 70, 71, 72, 70, 283; Sam Snead, 73, 71, 72, 69, 285; Jim Ferrier, 76, 71, 70, 68, 285’ Ed.
