LAND SETTLEMENT
Sir, —It sems to be the policy of Federated Farmers that there must be no compulsory acquiring of land for rehabilitation of discharged servicemen, irrespective of the amount of land owned by any single farmer. In the event of the world situation deteriorating, will Federated Farmers again support a policy of compulsory acquisition of lives to defend these lands and will large numbers of farmers again expect exemption of their sons from such service?—Yours, etc., EX-FARMERS UNION. August 8, 1950.
