Catholic Debating Clubs.— lt was stated at the annual meeting of the Catholic Social and Debating Clubs of the Christchurch Diocese that the annual competitions of the Federated Cathol’c Debating Clubs and Societies (South Island) would be held in Christchurch at Easter next year. Officers were elected as follows: spiritual director. Rev. Father M. Jones; president. Mr T. J. Packer; vice-president, Mr T. Kelly; secretary, Mr P. Oughton; treasurer, Mr W. F. Brown.
