TEACHERS CONDEMN BILL
RESOLUTION PASSED BY N.S.W. COUNCIL (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. Mav 29. The council of the New South wales Teachers’ Federation. representing 12,000 teachers, adopted by 84 votes 48 a resolution condemning the Federal Government’s Communist Party Dissolution Bill. The resolution claimed that the federation was a non-political organisation and stood for appoin’ment and promotion on merit, regardless of an appointee's political or religious beliefs.
