The council of the New South wales Teachers’ Federation. representing 12,000 teachers, adopted by 84 votes 48 a resolution condemning the Federal Government’s Communist Party Dissolution Bill. The resolution claimed that the federation was a non-political organisation and stood for appoin’ment and promotion on merit, regardless of an appointee's political or religious beliefs.
