ACCIDENTS
CRANE OVERTURNS AT WORKSHOPS DRIVER KILLED (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN. May 29. A crane-driver was killed at the Hillside railway workshops this morning when the five-ton crane he was driving overturned. He was: Clemens Theodor Carl Schlaadt, aged 55. a married man. who lived at 31 Harbour terrace. Mr Schlaadt was pinned under the cab for an nour before he could be released.
CLOTHES CAUGHT IN POWER TAKEOFF
YOUNG MAN INJURED From Our Own Reporter WAIMATE. May 29. Lacerations to the face and an injury to a hand were suffered by a young man, Norman Howe, when his clothing was caught in the power take-off of a tractor hauling a potatodigger at Arno. He was admitted to the Waimate Public Hospital.
