CORONATION CUP WON BY AMOUR DRAKE

LONDON, May 26. The Coronation Cup, run over one mile and a half at Epsom to-day, resulted:— AMOUR DRAKE .. .. i Iron Duke .. .. .. ”2 Flush Royal .. .. .. 3 Six started. Five lengths; one length. Time, 2min 38sec. Amour Drake started favourite. He was the fourth French horse to win the race since the war. Amour Drake, a four-year-old by Admiral Drake from Vers I’Aurore, was an unlucky second in the Derby last year when he finished second to Nimbus, being beaten by a head. The result was decided for tae first time in the long history of the race by reference to a photograph. Amour Drake was challenging strongly when he was squeezed lor room, and he lost his winning chance when his jockey found it necessary to change his course.
