AN APPRECIATION

On Saturday the lady editor of “The Press” appealed to readers for the loan of a radio set for an invalid girl whoso eyesight is failing. By 8 a.m. a radio :et was delivered to the lady editor's home, and within the next few hours six more were offered. The first radio set was taken to the invalid’s home early on Saturday afternoon. Of the others, the lady editor has accented three, and with the kind approval of the owners they will be given to other invalids, to whom thev will give groat pleasure. Although the offers of the remaining readers have not been accepted at prosent, all have promised to Kelp should another similar appeal be made later. Those who generously responded to the appeal were Mr B. M. Macintosh (Bealey avenue). Mr W. AT. Dixon <Cleveland street). Mr M. Black <Puriri street). Mrs Fulford 'Armagh street). Miss Arnold (Naso bystreet), Mr Ernest Cordery (Cashel street), and Mr G. Henderson (Mayfield ayenue). To al' those the lady editor is deeply grateful.
