LONG SERVICE TO TROTTING

SIR JOHN MCKENZIE AND MR J. B. THOMSON Sir John McKenzie, who has been a i member of the board of the New Zealand Trotting Association for 25 years, entertained members at a dinner party before the final meeting of the board last evening. Under the recently adopted Rules of Trotting, the duties of the New Zealand Trotting Association have been taken over by the New Zealand Trotting Conference. V' ien Sir John McKenzie was elected he was living in the North Island, and repre—nted northern clubs. Mr J. B. Thomson, who has been chairman for the last two years, was elected 23 years ago. Both Sir John McKenzie and Mr Thomson have been nominated for the executive of the New Zealand Trotting Conference. Ashburton T.C. Withdrawals Withdrawals for the first day of the Ashburton meeting are due net later than □ p.m. on Monday. 29th instant. —Advt.
