HANMER SPRINGS LADIES’ BATHING POOL

Sir, —Regarding G. Nell’s suggestion in “The Press” this morning, why should Hanmer residents and others not only subscribe to a fund but also pay an extra 6d on all bathing tickets? The cost of living is quite enough to cope with at Hanmer without thinking of borrowed money for improvements to something which is really a Government concern.—Yours, etc., MARY. May 24, 1950.
