FURTHER SURGICAL TREATMENT LONDON, May 23. A British Foreign Office statement. to-ni?ht said that the Foreign Secretary (Mr Ernest Bevin) had been advised to undergo further surgical treatment. He v. ould enter a nursing home on May 30. Mr Bevin. who is 69. enterer hospital on April 11 for an operation. He left hospital on May 4. Round-the-world Cruise. — Preparations are being made for the first postwar round-the-world cruise by a British ship. A Cunard liner, the Caronia <34.183 tons), will be diverted from the trans-Atlantic run next winter to take passengers from New York on a cruise to the Southern Hemisphere. Her itinerary will include South America. South Africa. Australia. New Zealand, the Solomons, and other Pacific islands where the Allies fought the Japanese.—London, May 24.
