NEW ZEALAND RIFLE BRIGADE

REUNION SMOKE CONCERT Special celebrations of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade»would be held in February, 1950, during the centennial, and he hoped that more former members of the brigade would have joined the association by that time, said Mr J. K. Moloney, chairman of the brigade reunion smoke concert in the Jellicoe Hall last evening. About 130 men were present. Mr Moloney proposed the toast to the King, and Mr Rex C. Abernethy a toast to the brigade. Mr Moloney replied. and Mr W. McKeegan proposed the health of the Returned Services’ Association. The annual report and balance-sheet were presented, and showed a satisfactory financial position. Officers elected were:—president. Mr J. K. Moloney; vice-president. Mr R. Beattie; secretary-treasurer, Mr E. P. Stock; committee. Messrs C. V. Ramsay, C. A. Tucker. D. H. Crooks. C. J. Henty, J. D. Greenwood, and W A Ford.
