The Audrey Nott Challenge Cup, for highest aggregate in fancy dancing classes, was won b> Margaret Lindbom. of Greymouth, at the Westport Competitions Society’s festival. Further awards at the festival were won by Olive E. Chester (W. G. Phibbs's medal). Irish folk song; Lynn Tregurtha (Airs J. Risk's medal), pianoforte solo, under 12; Olive E. Chester (A. L. Sutherland’s medal), vocal solo, open: Gaynor Hurring (Shirley Veale's medal), sailor’s hornpipe, under 12 (Miss F. Hay-MacKen-zie medal), highland (ling, under 12; Jill Cressey (Miss Hay-Mackenzie’s medal), operatic dance, under 12; Betty McNicholl (W. D. Wilson’s medal), seann triubhais, under 12: Miss Colleen Wells (special cup), highest aggregate in open classes for elocution.
