ANNUAL MEETING

“The annual report speaks for itself; it shows that the Travel Club is going from strength to strength and iscapable of splendid achievement,” said the president (Sir Joseph Ward) when he presided at the annual meeting of the club yesterday.

The statement of receipts and expenditure showed satisfactory credit balances in the general fund and the Food for Britain lunch Various domestic matters, relating to seating at morning meetings and attendances at receptions were discussed and satisfactory solutions arrived at. Votes of thanks were passed to the president, the honorary organiser (Mrs A. J. Benzie), the honorary treasurer (Mrs H. Wyatt), the chairmen of the Food for Britain and entertainment committees (Mesdames J. Denford and H. Goggin).
