DEMAND FOR UNION WITH GREECE

(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, February 7. Unless Britain handed over Cyprus to Greece immediately an appeal would be made to the United Nations, said the Archbishop of Cyprus (Archbishop Makarios). Reporting this the Nicosia correspondent of the Associated Press says that Archbishop Makarios announced that in an unofficial plebiscite 96 per cent, of the Greek Cypriote* had voted for union with Greece. *
