FARM SURPLUSES IN U.S.
BARGAIN EXPORT PRICES The announcement from Washington that the United States will offer millions of dollars’ worth of agricultural surpluses for export at prices under cost may bring a protest from the Canadian Government. Trade and Agricultural Department sources declare.
Bargain prices were announced for potatoes, dried eggs, milk, beans, flax-seed, barley, oats, linseed oil and Mexican canned meat. It is feared in Canada that a drop in farm prices will follow, bringing a decline in the export demand for Canadian products.
