The District Engineer of the Ministry of Works (Mr W. F. Young) will leave Christchurch this morning for the West Coast on official business. He will return to Christchurch to-morrow. The following joint committee has been appointed to control the Sheep Industry Economic Service: Messrs W. W. Mulholland, G. H. Grigg, and H. D. Cooper (representing the Meat Board), and A. Briscoe-Moore, J. Acland, and C. H. Bethell (representing the Wool Board). Mr Mulholland is chairman of the committee and Mr Briscoe - Moore deputy - chairman.— (P.A.)
Mr O. P. Anderson was granted leave of absence from the executive of the Returned Services’ Association last evening. His resignation was received at a meeting of the executive last evening, when it was decided to grant him leave of absence instead, as there would be only two more executive meetings before the annual meeting.
