Sweden and New Zealand
Sweden’s interest in New Zealand as a world leader in social reforms and legislation was emphasised by Mr P. Nystrom, Under-Secretary of State of the Swedish Government, when he arrived in Auckland frbm Sydney yesterday. He said whenever any social reforms were contemplated by his Government, a comparison was inevitably made with New Zealand policies. Mr Nystrom will attend a meeting of social security experts at the International Labour Organisation conference in Wellington on Wednesday.—(P.A.)
