MISS FLORA MCDONALD HONOURED

Miss Flora McDonald, one of the first women to be appointed to the police force in Christchurch, is resigning from her position and is to b.p married on Saturday to Sergeant tr. M. Cleary, of the Central Police Station, Christchurch. Last evening, Miss McDonald was the guest of members of the Police Social Club at an enjoyable party. On behalf of the Christchurch members of the police force she was presented with a wedding gift. Last year. Miss McDonald went to Australia for six months on exchange duty. After her marriage she will live at Riccarton.
