MOTOR HORNS AT NIGHT

Sir,—Will you allow me space to protest against the noise made by inconsiderate motorists at night? I believe it is an offence to blow motor horns after 11 o’clock, but it goes on all the time and I never read of anyone being prosecuted for it. Taxis are the worst. They blow their horns when picking up fares at late parties ■without giving a thought for people trying to sleep.—Yours, etc., SILENCE PLEASE. December 25, 1949.
