THOUGHT FOR BIRDS
Sir, —May I add two other pleas? That birds have covers to their cages. Even the wooden perches become unbearably hot if exposed to the sun—try bare feet on the veranda—and that the little caged bird may have an outing when the family goes off for the day. The door can be raised or opened with a bent hairpin. The birds so quickly return to the cage, but hop out repeatedly in excited joy to use their wings.—Yours, etc., WINGS. December 22, 1949.
