HELP FOR INVALIDS AND AGED

Sir,—l would like to express my appreciation of the generous way the public responded to my appeal for donations to provide a little extra cheer to invalid and other pensioners who are unable to belong to any association or organisation which provides Christmas parties. To make certain there was no double-banking, my list of names was checked against the one from the Mayor’s social service. It is not too late yet should anyone still wish to send a donation.—Yours, etc., ''MRS) E./DORN-GLEN, 39 Holland street. December 22, 1949.
