NEW ZEALANDER WINS N.S.W. KING’S PRIZE (N.Z.P. A.—Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY. October 15. The New Zealand rifleman Wally Oakley, yesterday won the New South Wales King's Prize with a record aggregate of 342 points. He is the first New Zealander ever to win an Australian King’s Prize. Yesterday, using an English Pl 4 rifle, he completed the final round with 10 bulls in a row at 900 yards. Ken Lee (New South Wales) was second, one point behind Oakley. Lee shot after Oakley, and he knew he could not win, but this did not prevent his scoring a possible in the last 10 shots over 900 yards. The Bisley winner, Percy Pavey (Victoria), with rounds of 49 each over 800 and 900 yards, finished third.
