RECENT ARRIVALS IN NEW ZEALAND “NO REASON TO EXPECT CAUSE FOR CONCERN” From Our Own Reporter WELLINGTON. September 7. Although there have been reports from Australia of malnutrition among immigrant children, those in the draft of European settlers that came to New Zealand recently in the Dundalk Bay were not unduly affected, according to the Director of Employment (Mr H. L. Bockett). The incidence of sickness among them had been remarkably low. he said, although conditions on the vessel had not been as good as might have been desired. "All the refugees at the Pahiatua reception and training centre have been very appreciative of their treatment and there is no reason to expect that the health of the children will give any cause for concern,” he said..
