MAN WITH MANY CONVICTIONS
When asked, if he had anything to say, a man who pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday to a charge of theft, handed in a written statement. After reading it the Magistrate, Mr E. A. Lee, S.M., said: “The accused complains he has never had the benefit of deferred sentence, but he has had everything else, as far as I can see, except capital punishment. He has had 60 different convictions.”
