The New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association will be asked by the Wellington centre to call a meeting during the Empire Games to discuss various views on amateur status in swimming. The centre made this decision at its annual meeting after hearing a suggestion that swimming in New Zealand was deprived of valuable services because of misunderstandings here and in other countries or certain international rules.
