ENGAGEMENTS

The engagement is announced of Whaddon Selby Adams. Sydney, to Eleanor Joan, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Simon. Hoon Hay road. Christchurch. The engagement is announced of Eileen Agnes, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs A. G. Rae, Hossack Station, Hanmer Springs, to Ronald Thomas, fourth son of Mr and Mrs H. W. Williams, Regent street. Fairlie. Miss Barbara Orr. of Auckland, has won the first award of £25 riven by Kodak New Zealand. Ltd., for the most successful student at the school of radiography at the Auckland Hospital in examinations conducted by the Society of Radiographers. The examinations were held in April and the papers marked in England, the results arriving back only recently, .iimilar awards were promised by the same donors for the schools of radiography, which teach the operation of X-ray units, at the other three main centres. The winner at Dunedin this year is Miss M. R. Stobo. The Wellington and Christchurch schools will not hold their annual examinations until November. FUR COATS Remodelled.
