AUSTRALIANS TO TOUR N.Z.
18 PLAYERS FROM N.S.W. (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) BRISBANE, July 31. The Australian Rugby League team to tour New Zealand comprises 18 players from New South Wales and four from Queensland. It includes two young Sydney forwards, K. Hansen and R. Bull who were not in the original New South Wales team for Brisbane, but the Kangaroo player R. Lulham, who scored three tries and tackled splendidly in the final selection match against Queensland, failed to win a place. K. Froome has been appointed captzin and W. O’Connell vice-captain. The team is as follows:—Full-backs: C. Churchill and V. .Bulgin; wingers: J Graves, B. Roberts, and P. McMahon;
centres: J. Hawke, M. McCoy and I. Johnston; five-eighths: O’Connell and F. Stanmore; half-backs: K. Froome and W. Thompson; locks: L. Cowie and N. MulliJan; second row forwards; F. de Belin, Rayner and K. Hansen; front row forwards: R. Bull, J. Holland, and A. Thompson; hookers: K. Schubert and R. Griffiths. The Queensland players are McMahon Thompson, A. Thompson and Grimtns.
