FOXZAMI WINS CUP AT SYDNEY (N.Z. Press Association— Copyright) CRec. 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 31. After leading early and being overtaken by Regal Praise, the former New Zealand horse, Foxzami, came again to win the Sydney Turf Club Cup at Canterbury yesterday. Though Regal Praise passed Foxzami at the half-mile post, he was not allowed to settle down in fourth or fifth position, as there was no obvious pacemaker. Closely trailed by Hurry Up, Foxzami went to the front again, and in a hard finish fought off Hurry As winner of a prize worth £4183, Foxzami is liable to a rehandicap of up to 101 b in the Melbourne Cup, where he already has Bst 81b. The New Zealand horse Brigodoon scored convincingly in the three and four-year-old handicap by hanging on to Le Petit Due and then running away from him in the final challenge. Results were:—
