MARSHALL AID TO BRITAIN

£314,950,000 TO END OF MARCH (Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, May 6. The United Kingdom received Marshall aid authorisations in March to obtain £24.250.000 worth of goods from dollar sources. This brought the total aid received by Britain since the beginning of the European Recovery Programme on April 3. 1948. to £314.950.000. The March total of Marshall aid to Eire was £1.625.000. Since the beginning of the European Recovery Programme Eire has received £19,225.000. For all the European Recovery Programme countries, the March authorisations raise the total aid given since April, 1948, to £1,192,500,000.
