COMBINED SHEEPDOG TRIALS
From Our Own Reporter FAIRLIE. May 6. Mr J. R. McCaulay, who judged the combined sheepdog trials of the Cannington Young Farmers’ Club, and the Canterbury Council of Young Farmers' Clubs, praised the high standard shown in all events The trials were held on Mr J. Patterson’s property. Results were as follows: Long pull: C. Moffat’s Roy 1, A. McKenzie’s Wag 2, A. McKenzie’s Don 3. Handy event: D. Nelson’s Sharpe 1, John Guerin’s Ruff 2, M. Casey's Glen 3. Huntaway: John Guerin’s Ruff 1, C. Moffat’s Roy 2. D. Nelson’s Sharpe 3.
